Mission
The Girard School of Business empowers and inspires students to do well and do good by building their intellect, capabilities, and social awareness through experiential learning, creative pedagogy, and relevant faculty research.

The Girard School of Business will be the business school of choice for prospective students, faculty, staff, and employers.
Description
We develop professionals who think critically, communicate effectively and excel in productive roles in the community and the globally competitive marketplace. Committed to the highest standards of teaching and research, our unique approach to business education includes a strong foundation in the liberal arts and Augustinian values, as well as a solid background in business.

Program Requirements
The Girard School of Business offers Bachelor of Science degrees in Accounting, Applied Economics and Finance, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Management, Marketing and Sport Management. Girard School of Business supports combined majors with the School of Arts and Sciences and School of Engineering and Computational Sciences; Bachelor of Arts degrees in Business Communication, Music and Business Management and Marketing, Sport Management and Communication, Economics, Environment and Sustainability, Entrepreneurship and Graphic Design and Bachelor of Science degrees in Sport Analytics and Strategic Marketing Analytics.
Students will take courses that are distributed among the following categories:
- Merrimack College Foundations and Connections Core Curriculum
- Girard School of Business Major Requirements
- Remaining courses are “open” electives; these electives may count towards other minors
Minor Policy for the Girard School of Business
Girard School of Business majors can declare a minor offered through the Girard School of Business. The Business Administration minor is only available to students who are not pursuing a major offered by the Girard School of Business.
Double Major Policy for Girard School of Business
Double majoring in two GSB majors is possible. Students should check in with their faculty advisor and/or the Lucey Center for Business Advising staff to explore double major options.

Pass/Fail Policy for the Girard School of Business
In addition to the College’s Pass/Fail policy, Girard School of Business majors may only take open electives (courses taken outside of their Foundations and Connections core, Major Requirements, and Concentration Requirements) as pass/fail.
