Hospitality Management is a specialized field of management and leadership within the hospitality services industry. This includes but is not limited to dining and general guest services, lodging, tourism, travel, sports, food services, entertainment and more. The hospitality management minor will expose students to roles within the hospitality industry and allow them to develop the skills needed to excel in these roles.

Minor Requirements

The minor is comprised of four required core courses and one elective course.

Core Courses

Complete the following four required courses:

HSP 3000 - Introduction to Hospitality Management Credits: 4
HSP 3005 - Tourism: The Business of Hospitality and Travel Credits: 4
HSP 3100 - Hospitality and Tourism Marketing Credits: 4
MKT 2205 - Principles of Marketing Credits: 4

Required Elective

Choose one course from the following:

HSP 4000 - Hospitality Management Practicum Credits: 4
MGT 3410 - Human Resource Management Credits: 4
MKT 3450 - Digital Marketing Credits: 4
