Description
The School of Arts and Sciences at Merrimack brings together a range of disciplines with various approaches, perspectives, and methodologies. Our programs are inherently interdisciplinary and our courses engage students in conversation and exploration about their lives and the world around them. Students will learn to communicate effectively, think critically, integrate diverse experiences, and process information from multiple perspectives. The School of Arts and Sciences emphasizes immersive learning, such as hosting a radio show; creating a work of art; or synthesizing a new chemical compound. Our curricula provide transformative experiences that create meaningful career pathways.
The School of Arts and Sciences embraces Merrimack’s Augustinian identity through our dedication to the pursuit of knowledge as a community activity, informed by dialogue between faith and reason. We are inspired by the Augustinian Order’s commitment to social justice and its long history of engagement in education. The study of the arts and sciences is at the heart of Merrimack’s curriculum. Whatever your interest, we welcome you to learn, discover, innovate, and grow with us. Whatever your major, you will be equipped with the skillset requisite for personal and professional success.
