The Digital Media Production minor emphasizes hands-on, experiential learning in Merrimack’s video and audio production spaces, the Mac Lab and out in the field. You will learn about current media production operations and various skills, such as pre-production planning, shot composition, lighting, recording audio, using cameras both out in the field and in the studio, and post-production editing techniques.

Minor Requirements

The minor is comprised of five courses: four core courses and one elective. Additionally, no more than two courses (eight credits) from the Communication and Media major or any other major or minor external to Communication and Media may count towards the completion of this minor. No courses from another Communication and Media minor (Communication and Media, Public Relations, Film Studies [interdisciplinary]) may count towards completion of this minor.
