WIN 1000 - Career Design: Explore, Plan, DevelopCredits: 1 Winston Career Exploration and Development course will serve as the initial platform for orienting all students to the role, value, and techniques of career exploration and development. This one-credit course will focus on the foundational knowledge, skills, tools, and dispositions necessary for students to be successful in exploring a career to pursue and developing the skills and tools necessary for success in that career. The career development coursework will focus on the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) competencies that are essential for success in pursuing a job and thriving in the workplace. Students will receive a thorough grounding in career competencies and develop tangible career deliverables while also building a network of academic and career support. Upon successful completion of this course, students will have demonstrated a foundational level of the NACE competencies, developed tangible and intangible career readiness tools, and built career capital and a network of support. Prerequisite(s): FYE 1050 (or any other FYE course code)
