EXP 1503 - How to Change the World

We all want to make the world a better place. The question, of course, is how. This course begins with a key premise: to change something, you must first understand it. This course therefore delves into issues of diversity, social justice, and ethics in our complex and contested democracy. This includes exploring issues of race and ethnicity, sex and gender, and poverty in order to develop theoretical foundations for understanding and supporting issues of equity, equality, and inclusion. Students will develop final projects that hopefully make the worldslightly better
