MTH 1314 - Discrete Mathematics

An introduction to mathematics for first-year math and computer science majors exposing the student to a breadth of topics in the discipline while developing skills in written and oral communication of mathematical ideas, problem solving, and theorem proving. Topics include an introduction to logic, proofs, graph theory, combinatorics, and discrete probability.
Prerequisite(s): A minimum score of 28 on the Mathematics Placement Assessment or MTH 1016 .
