Major Requirements
Satisfying the requirements for a major in Psychology includes successful completion of thirteen 4-credit PSY courses (or a substitution of two acceptable 3-credit psychology courses transferred in from another institution), two 1-credit professional development courses, one 4-credit diversity course as listed, for a minimum of 56 credits, as described below.

To complete the required credits in Psychology, students may take a combination of other Psychology courses and/or HSC 2500 Health Behavior and Promotion , and/or NEU 4000 a maximum of four credits in Directed Study and/or Directed Research, and the second semester of a two-semester Senior Capstone Sequence, in consultation with your advisor.
Major GPA: The GPA for the psychology major will be calculated by taking the average of courses designated PSY.
