Major Requirements
This bachelor’s degree program requires a minimum of 124 credits. As part of the overall 124 credit minimum, satisfying the requirements for a major in psychology includes successful completion of a minimum of 42 credits and 11 courses in psychology and a cognate course in Biology (for a total minimum of 46 credits and 12 courses) as follows:

Sequences
This requirement can also be fulfilled by either of the following two-course sequences:
Two Laboratory Courses in Basic Psychological Processes
At Least One Course Related to Psychological Individuation
At Least One Course Related to Social Relations
One of the Following Senior Capstone Options
Further Explorations in Psychology
To complete the required 42 credits in psychology, students may take a combination of additional core courses, upper level psychology electives, a maximum of four credits in Directed Study and/or Directed Research, and the second semester of a 2-semester Senior Capstone Sequence.
Major GPA. The GPA for the psychology major will be calculated by taking the average of courses designated PSY.
