The Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Biochemistry program requires 56 credits of chemistry and biology coursework as well as cognate courses in physics and mathematics. This program provides students a strong foundation in chemistry and biology and allows students to gain expertise in other areas in order to prepare them for professional schools (medical, veterinary, or dental), interdisciplinary science careers (such as forensic science, business development, pharmaceutical sales, patent law, or management), and education (high school or middle school).  Because of the flexibility of the program, students will have the opportunity to pursue additional minors or majors outside of the school of Science and Engineering including combinations such as: Biochemistry/Forensic Science, Biochemistry/Education, Biochemistry/Criminology, Biochemistry/Business, or Biochemistry/Psychology.
