Electives
Electives selected to individualize a student’s program and meet graduation requirements consistent with each student’s career and educational plans.
Pass / Fail Policy for Girard School of Business
As stated in the front of this catalog, “In order to encourage students to explore new areas of knowledge without undue risk to their cumulative quality point averages, the college permits the taking of elective courses on a pass/fail basis. These courses cannot be among the courses taken to satisfy the College’s general education requirements, major, major cognate, or minor requirements; only free electives may be taken on a pass/fail basis. No more than eight credits taken on a pass/fail basis may be taken from any one department, no more than four credits may be taken in a single semester, and no more than twelve credits may be counted towards the Baccalaureate degree.” Business Administration students can only take free/open electives pass/fail outside of their core requirements and concentration(s).
Double Concentration Policy for Girard School of Business
Business Majors with a declared concentration have the option of adding a 2nd Business concentration. Please check with the Lucey Center for Business Advising for available concentration pairings.
Double Minor Policy for Girard School of Business
Non Business majors can double minor in two Girard School of Business minors. Students must complete all requirements for each minor and a minimum of 20 credits for each minor. Some core requirements will overlap between Business Minors, however electives cannot satisfy both minors.
