Admission Requirements:

This program is designed for those who have completed a Masters Degree in Spirituality or a related field.  Non-Merrimack students will apply to this program through the standard Merrimack process, and will be evaluated by the Graduate Admissions Office and Program Director and will be assessed according to the same standards as all other graduate student applicants. The student must complete this certificate with at least a B average.

This program is designed for students who have completed a Masters degree in Spirituality and wish to continue their research in an academic setting.  Some students will continue their studies so as to publish their research. Others wish to enhance their ministry. Others seek simply to enrich their own spiritual lives.  More specifically,  students in this program wish to continue to do independent research in the wide field of spirituality and to do this within a community of scholars.

Program Requirements


The certificate in Spirituality Research consists of four courses (16 credits), as outlined below.

Core Courses


Students will choose their 4 courses ( sixteen credits) in  consultation with the program director. These will normally be a combination of the following, noting that these courses are repeatable for credit.
