Content Creation requires a skillful blend of writing, design, media production, and marketing. Content Creation intersects with coursework within the Departments of Communication & Media, Humanities (English), and Visual & Performing Arts. A Content Creator’s job is to compose and publish various types of written and visual communication for web pages, articles, ebooks, marketing emails, news, and social media posts for a variety of companies or organizations. Students majoring in Content Creation learn how to deploy language with critical precision; educate constituencies; write and design blog posts about industry-related topics; and create, produce, and promote verbal, as well as audiovisual content on social media. Content Creators are employed across businesses (small and large), non-profits, colleges and universities, law firms, and all other public-facing organizations, which makes them highly sought after employees in the digital age.
