EDU 4500 - Language Acquisition and Literacy Development Credits: 4
HDE 2200 - Introduction to Communication Sciences and Disorders Credits: 4
HDE 3200 - Phonetics Credits: 4
HDE 3700 - Anatomy and Physiology for Speech, Language, Hearing and Swallowing Credits: 4
HDE 4010 - HDHS Professional Observation and Experience Credits: 2

Elective

Students must complete one additional course from the choices below:

HDE 3500 - Introduction to Audiology Credits: 4
HDE 3900 - Speech and Hearing Science Credits: 4

Completing all 7 courses offered in the CAL minor, obtaining a bachelor’s degree AND completing 4 courses in specific areas of foundational knowledge prepares students with the prerequisites to apply to most nationally accredited graduate programs in speech-language pathology.
