The School of Nursing and Health Sciences proposes to launch a Master of Science in Healthcare Leadership. This comprehensive graduate program is designed to prepare students to work in a variety of leadership and managerial roles specifically within the healthcare industry.
The Master of Science in Healthcare Leadership will be a 100% online, asynchronous program. This program will comprise 32 credits. We will allow students to begin three times per year (Fall A, Spring A, and Summer A). A student may choose to complete this program at their own pace, either part-time or full time. The degree will open doors for these working adults by providing flexible online courses and laddering with all health and business-related four-year degrees. The program emphasizes the development of leadership and managerial skills through a set of core courses while allowing flexibility in time and location of completion.
This program is focused on professionals interested in advancing current roles or obtaining new ones within their existing or new organizations. The program targets students who are currently employed within healthcare or seeking an industry change, and who require a graduate degree to achieve professional goals and role advancement.
The proposed Master of Science in Healthcare Leadership will be offered in a 100% asynchronous, online format. The curriculum consists of 32 credits of five core and three elective courses. Students can complete the program in as few as 18 months.
