Learn more about the program

The B.S. in Neuroscience program engages students in an integrated and multidisciplinary study of the nervous system, from form to function. Neuroscience is an integrative discipline, meaning that it is both an interdisciplinary field, as well as a discipline in its own right. Therefore, students will be required to take a common core of classes across multiple departments and programs, as well as foundational Neuroscience classes. In addition, students will select two elective courses in any of the three main contributing disciplines: Psychology, Biology, or Chemistry.

Major Requirements

The major requires completion of seventeen required core courses and two elective courses (76 credits).

Note

Should a student double major with Neuroscience and either Psychology, Chemistry, or Biology, the two elective courses must be taken in a different discipline than their second major.
