The International Studies minor, an interdisciplinary program within the Department of Political Science, Policy, and History is designed for students majoring in any discipline who want to explore international and global issues within and beyond their current major.

Minor Requirements
The minor consists of a minimum of five courses. No more than two courses from another major or minor may double-count. Double-counting with all general education requirements is permitted.

Complete the following required course:
Required Electives
Choose two courses from within one of the four areas of concentration below. Each course must have a different course designation (POL, HIS, ECO, etc.), unless they are International Studies (INT) courses. These course designations do not need to be different from those for the courses chosen to fulfill the core requirements for the minor.
Global and Regional Systems of Governance and Societies
Choose two courses from the following:
Global Economy, International Business and Development
Choose two courses from the following:
Global Peace, Justice, and Ethics
Choose two courses from the following:
Global Health and Environment
Choose two courses from the following:
International Studies Notes
Some courses in concentrations may require prerequisites. If students wish to use one of these courses to fulfill a requirement in International Studies, they are responsible for either taking the prerequisite(s) or obtaining a waiver from the professor teaching the course.
Only two courses may double-count between the International Studies minor and any other major or minor.
