Learn more about the program
Students majoring in Education are required to select a content area in which to co-major. The Human Development and Human Services major provides a strong foundation of developmental theory, concepts, and practices to prepare individuals to work with a wide range of age groups in a variety of educational settings. Human Development and Human Services and Education co-majors, like all other Merrimack College students, take additional courses that fulfill Foundations and Connections Core Curriculum. Interested students are encouraged to visit the website and speak to their advisor for the most updated information.
The Education major will prepare you to complete the requirements towards earning your Massachusetts initial license, including a Sheltered English Instruction endorsement.Your advisor will also help you then select a concentration that will reflect the license you wish to pursue.
