Finance, the study of money management, is the engine that powers all meaningful investments -how businesses raise and invest capital, how individuals invest their assets, and how markets function. In this major, you’ll utilize analytic skills to project earnings and conduct valuations, construct and manage portfolios, and assess an organization’s assets and liabilities to identify opportunities for global business growth.
All Finance majors must satisfy the following requirements:
A. Merrimack College Liberal Studies Core curriculum
B. Finance Core Curriculum
C. Remaining credits as “open” electives”
Open Electives
Electives are selected to individualize a student’s program and meet graduation requirements consistent with each student’s career and educational plans.
Finance Major GPA Credit:
Finance Majors must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5.
Double Major/Minor Policy:
Students pursuing a B.S. in Finance can not pursue a Double Major in Business Administration or Economics/Finance. Students also can not pursue a minor within Girard School of Business.
