The Public Policy minor is designed to allow students to develop an understanding of public policy and administration as a field of academic study and an area of professional practice. Students can take electives that connect to their own interests and career pathway. The Public Policy minor consists of five courses and is made up of two required courses (POL 1300: Public Administration and POL 1400: Politics of Public Policy) and three electives. Minors have the option of taking an internship in either government agencies at the federal, state, or local level or in non profit agencies that advocate for substantive policy outcomes.

Minor Requirements
The minor in Public Policy requires completing 5 courses (a minimum of 18 credits) in courses that satisfy the minor requirements. The two required courses are:

At least two elective courses must be taken from Political Science & Public Policy. A third elective may come from the Political Science & Public Policy options OR the related College-wide electives.
