2021-2022 Undergraduate Catalog [ARCHIVED CATALOG]
Neuroscience, B.S.
The B.S. in Neuroscience program will allow students to engage in an integrated and multidisciplinary study of the nervous system, from form to function. Neuroscience is an “integrative discipline” (Snyder, 1984) , meaning that it is both an interdisciplinary field, as well as a discipline in its own right (Lewis, 2006) . Students at Merrimack College will be required to take a common core of classes across multiple departments, as well as foundational Neuroscience classes. In addition, students will select one of three tracks of specialization within the Neuroscience degree: Psychology, Biology, or Chemistry. Within these tracks, students will select additional elective courses to further explore this field of study.
