DSE 6630 - Healthcare/Life Science AnalyticsCredits: 4 This course is hands-on analytics of real-world healthcare and life sciences datasets. Students will apply their modeling skills to real-life applications in the healthcare and life sciences environments. This course will cover three major divisions often seen in healthcare and life sciences analytics to introduce this extremely broad field. We will not try to be comprehensive but rather to give you a flavor of what this field entails and prepare you for interviews with companies that might be looking for someone with interest in or experience with life sciences or healthcare analytics. We will apply data science principles you have learned thus far to real-world problems in each of these three areas. Each of the divisions we cover will culminate in one hands-on project. Prerequisite(s): DSE 6111 Fulfills: The Application or Elective requirement in the M.S. in Data Science curriculum
