How can companies turn their data into actionable insights and use analytics to facilitate decision making that creates value? The Business Analytics capstone prepares students for careers in business analytics and represents a significant milestone in student academic achievement and professional development. This course complements theory and provides students with an opportunity to apply various analytical tools and techniques to solve real-world business challenges. Students work as consultants on a hands-on business analytics project under the guidance of an experienced faculty advisor and gain valuable experience in all aspects of driving the project forward, including specifying the problem, analyzing the data, developing new insights, and recommending viable solutions.
