CMH 5050 - Research Design and Analysis I

Credits: 4
This course train students to (1) evaluate the efficacy of research studies and to understand study results as a way that informs evidence-based practice; and (2) conduct empirical research studies employing quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods approaches. A focus on developing literature-based research questions and hypotheses, research populations and samples, measures of central tendency and variability, hypothesis testing, and correlational research designs, and statistical tests of association will be examined. Students will also learn how to critically consume existing research to inform future research and clinical practice being mindful of ethical and legal obligations of researchers.
