BAI 3200 - Applied Business Intelligence and Data VisualizationCredits: 4 This course focuses on the use of business intelligence and visualization in driving business performance and operational efficiency. It emphasizes practical skills in data mining, visualization, and analysis, utilizing widely adopted business intelligence tools such as Tableau and PowerBI. Through a combination of case studies, multimedia resources, and hands-on interactive exercises, students will learn how to design effective business dashboards containing apt visualizations for various key performance indicators (KPIs). The course also covers foundational technologies, including data warehouses, data marts, and OLAP, while introducing students to emerging concepts in data science and analytics. By the end of the course, students will gain the expertise to design and develop real-world business dashboards. They will master data storytelling by effectively interpreting these dashboards.
