CHM 4930 - Chemistry and Biochemistry Internship

Credits: 4
The Internship course offers Chemistry and Biochemistry majors experiential learning opportunities. The course offers students the opportunity to explore a career in chemical sciences and to establish experience which may lead to employment after graduation. Students work at least 10 hours per week in an industrial, governmental, or other laboratory setting. Students should meet with the internship coordinator in the semester prior to the internship to determine an appropriate placement. Students are required to work 150 supervised hours, a work log, a reflective paper and an final presentation.  Advanced planning is required to obtain the necessary permissions.
Prerequisite(s): Permission of the department.
When Offered: Every fall semester.
