CHM 5920 - Graduate Research IICredits: 4 Formerly: Directed Research II The course is focused on providing students with a research experience. Students will have an opportunity to conduct research in the field of chemistry and/or biochemistry under the supervision of a faculty member. The course will provide students with an opportunity to have an extensive research experience where they work with an array of instruments. At the end of the course, students will complete a research report that must be approved by the instructor. Course requirements include literature reviews, group discussions, keeping a laboratory notebook, laboratory experimentation, and a final report. The course is intended to be a laboratory intensive course, which will require students to work independently in a laboratory setting.
