CHM 5940 - Graduate Research IVCredits: 4 This course is focused on providing students with an intensive research experience that focuses on developing independent laboratory skills. Students will have an opportunity to conduct research in the field of chemistry and/or biochemistry under the supervision of a faculty member. The course will provide opportunities to gain advanced skills with chemical techniques and instruments, and prepare to disseminate their work to a wider audience. It is expected that knowledge generated by the project will make a significant contribution to the field of chemistry/biochemistry. At the end of the course, students will complete a research report that must be approved by the instructor. Course requirements include literature reviews, group discussions, keeping a laboratory notebook, laboratory experimentation, and a final report. Corequisite(s): CHM 5930
