IDS 4200 - Interdisciplinary Senior Seminar

Credits: 4
The senior seminar is an opportunity to reflect on the interdisciplinary relationships between courses of study in the humanities and social sciences. It enables students from different disciplines and majors to explore various methodologies and approaches to answer questions and solve problems. As such, this course centers on the completion of a research project, workshopping it as it develops and getting feedback from the class and professor. Projects are required to include multiple perspectives, considering each thesis through the lens of diversity, equality, and inclusion. Students are encouraged to choose project topics that align with their chosen profession or plans to continue their education. The course is both personalized and collaborative while also teaching vital professional skills and presenting research to larger audiences.
