ECO 4020 - Second Business Internship

Credits: 4
The second business internship is available to students who have completed their first internship (ACC4010, ECO4010, FIN4010, MGT4010, or MKT4010), Sport Management Practicum (SPM4000), Sport Management Co-Op (SPM4000), Entrepreneurship Capstone Project (ENT 4000), Accounting Co-Op (ACC4000), or Hospitality Management Practicum (HSP40000) and who would like to gain credit for another internship experience. Paid and unpaid internships are an opportunity for students to gain experience in actual work settings where they can apply their classroom and other prior learning. Students will work with their internship supervisor and their professor to gain insights into the daily routines and the overall process, activities, and content of a particular setting or industry that is different from their first internship experience. Internships may be in for-profit, not-for-profit or public sector organizations depending on the interests of the student. This course does not satisfy an Entrepreneurship Major, Concentration or Minor elective
Prerequisite(s): ENT 4000. Must submit an application to be reviewed for approval prior to registration. Must be declared as an Entrepreneurship Major, Concentration or Minor.
Note: If the student wishes to complete their second business internship at a company where they have already completed their first internship, it must be a significantly different work experience with a different supervisor. The internship must be secured (usually during the previous semester) and permission must be obtained from the professor prior to registration for the course.
