THR 2610 - Screendance: Creation and CurationCredits: 4 This course is centered in dance for film. Students explore dancemaking for the camera via sound score creation, research of theme, curation of the artistic lens, use of choreography, and video manipulation that is generated for the screen. Under the umbrella of one artistic theme for the semester, student learning culminates in the creation of an experiential short screendance film. Through the art of curation, students work together to showcase their final films in a festival-style showing. Direct questions about prior dance experience, to the instructor.
