PSY 3550 - Introduction to Event-Related Potentials (ERPs)

Credits: 4
This course surveys the theory and practice of using recordings of electrical activity of the brain to study aspects of human cognition. Lectures will describe how event-related brain potentials (ERPs) have been used to understand various aspects of cognitive function. Students will acquire hands-on experience critically reading and evaluating research reports in this area. Additionally, students will learn how to apply, process, and interpret ERP data through the completion of lab assignments. Two and a half (2.5) hours of lecture/laboratory a week.
Prerequisite(s): PSY 1100 PSY 2110  and PSY 3150
