ACC 2360 - Introduction to Forensic Accounting

Credits: 4
Through lectures, case studies, practical exercises, and group discussions, students will learn to identify various types of fraud, analyze financial data for potential signs of fraudulent activities, comprehend the fraud triangle’s impact on fraudulent behavior, and apply effective interview techniques to gather information during fraud examinations. Additionally, the course will explore legal and ethical considerations in fraud examination and forensic accounting, including rules of evidence, while developing critical thinking skills to evaluate financial data and propose preventive measures against fraud.
Prerequisite(s): Sophomore or higher class standing required.
