CRM 3800 - Cybercrime and Digital Forensic InvestigationsCredits: 4 Cybercrime is defined as the usage of any communication device, such as cellphones and computers, to facilitate or commit an illegal act. This course focuses on the tools, techniques, and procedures for detecting, investigating, and prosecuting cybercrimes, including the retrieval of forensic information from computer systems. Topics include privacy and security, online hacking, digital piracy, social media investigations, cyberbullying, the sexual exploitation of children, and cyber-terror. Prerequisite(s): C- or better in CRM 1000
