ENT 4000 - Entrepreneurship Capstone Project

Credits: 4
This capstone course will allow students to engage directly at a local start-up in the Boston area. Each student team will be assigned a specific project at the start-up and will work directly with the founder. The founders will provide day to day direction and the faculty advisor will provide coaching and skill development. The students will be expected to leverage their analytical and communication skills in developing options for the founder and presenting them via weekly status updates and a final presentation. This course will provide a real-life opportunity for students to practice and demonstrate critical thinking, communication, and team-building skills. To prepare students for their assignments, students will attend a two week “consulting boot camp” in conjunction with starting at the local start-up. The boot camp will prepare them with the skills to operate in a professional environment including drafting status reports, writing proposals, and presenting to founders.
Prerequisite(s):  ENT 3300  with a grade of C- or higher
