EXS 4411 - Exercise Physiology II with Integrated LabCredits: 4 Exercise Physiology II is an educational experience designed to examine advanced human physiology and the physiological responses to acute and chronic exercise. This course will expand on foundational physiological mechanisms introduced in Exercise Physiology with Lab (EXS3311) and will introduce new concepts related to environmental physiology, hormonal control during exercise, exercise and fatigue, muscle soreness, sex differences, body composition, and nutrition related to acute and chronic exercise. Students will also use specific components of research methods to engage in various integrated learning experiences. The integrated experience will provide students with opportunities to assess, evaluate, and demonstrate some of the physiological concepts discussed in class. Students will apply acquired knowledge and skills to perform data collection and interpret and analyze the data collected. Prerequisite(s): HSC 1122 , HSC 1123 , EXS 3311 all with a grade of C or better.
