CRM 3725 - Terrorism

This course is designed to allow students to examine the context, causes, and consequences of the crime of terrorism from a broad range of perspectives. The individual, group, and organizational factors that motivate international and domestic terrorist groups to action are covered. In addition, students will examine strategies designed to reduce the threat of terrorism and mitigate its effects on society. We will examine the actions that governments have taken to disrupt terrorist activities and criminal conduct, including disrupting terrorist financial networks, monitoring potential terrorists and groups via social media, identifying individuals who may be radicalized, and providing risk assessments of terrorist groups domestically and internationally.
