Independent internship opportunities are available to students in a wide variety of fields and work settings. Students may register for an independent internship in the fall, spring or summer semester. Interested students should contact their career advisor in the O’Brien Center for more information or to discuss opportunities.
Prerequisite(s): (1) Must have completed a minimum of 30 credit hours to participate, (2) Must have a 2.0 minimum GPA, (3) Must complete a minimum of 100 hours during the semester, (4) Must register the independent internship with the O’Brien Center using Handshake, (5) Student and site supervisor must set learning goals for the independent internship experience, (6) Student and site supervisor must complete a post internship reflection of the experience. Student must have approval through the O’Brien Center with oversight from the student’s faculty or academic advisor.
