MUS 1351 - Jazz Ensemble

This course is designed to give students experience rehearsing and performing in a large jazz ensemble. Development of jazz interpretation, ensemble skills, improvisational skills, and techniques specific to the jazz idiom are explored in depth. Pieces are selected to meet the individual needs of the group and are representative of a wide variety of jazz styles.
Note: Students may register for any combination of ensembles up to a total of 8 credits.
