EEN 3220 - Electronics IICredits: 4 A detailed study of bipolar junction transistors (BJTs) ac large and small signal equivalent circuit, switching and amplifier applications. Design and Analysis of common-source and emitter followers at low and high frequencies. An introduction to operational amplifier (op-amps), its characteristics and applications. Analyzing several ideal op-amps such as inverter and non-inverter. Designing and analyzing FETs and BJTs, current sources (current mirrors). Basic understanding the characteristics and terminology of the ideal differential amplifier. Analyzing the basic bipolar differential amplifier. Prerequisite(s): C- or better in EEN 3210 . When Offered: Typically every spring Three hours of lecture a week and one three-hour laboratory a week.
