CEN 4050 - Construction Planning and ManagementCredits: 4 This course is an introduction to Project Management for design and construction processes. Fundamentals of planning, estimating, scheduling, bidding, contractual relationships, cost control, and critical path method will be discussed. This course is designed to acquaint students with the principles and processes involved in managing design and construction projects. Project managers fulfill many roles in projects that require skills in coordination and communication in addition to technical skills. Moreover, an effective project manager should have a solid understanding of engineering economic fundamentals and the legal aspects that may impact their projects or profession.
