Topics include quantum chemistry, molecular structure and spectroscopy, and statistical mechanics. Laboratory experiments supplement the lecture material.
Prerequisite(s): CHM 2420 , PHY 2212 and MTH 1218 .

Three hours of lecture and one three-hour laboratory per week.
