ACC 5550 - Advanced Flow Through Tax Entities

This course offers students the opportunity to learn about and discuss the tax and non-tax consequences of business entities where income and expenses are passed through to individual taxpayers, owners and shareholders. Entities covered are Partnerships, S-Corporations, LLC’s, LLP’s, etc. Topics covered are debt workouts, shareholder treatment, elections, multijurisdictional taxation, wealth planning, and more. Content will focus on the governance around creation of different types of entities, understanding the economic repercussions on various constituents, multi-state tax considerations, and ensuring that informed and ethical decisions are made.
