MGT 3240 - Healthcare ManagementCredits: 4 Formerly: MGT3352 Healthcare Management provides students with an overview of how healthcare institutions are organized and governed, the role of the management staff, physicians, nurses, and other clinical and support staff in these organizations, and the management systems designed for their efficient and effective operation. Course participants will learn key principles and practices of health care organizations. This course is very broadly applicable to healthcare enterprises of every kind: public health organizations, physician practices and clinics, hospitals and health systems, agencies and service organizations, for-profit firms, and not-for-profit enterprises.
