PHL 2070 - Environmental EthicsCredits: 4 Environmental ethics concerns humanity’s relationship with nature. In addition to questions about our moral obligations to other humans, animals, plants, ecosystems, and future generations, this course will also look at recent work on the land ethic, ecofascism, deep ecology, global ecocentrism, ecofeminism, social ecology, and sustainability. We will begin with a brief look at some background texts before turning to philosophical analysis of such contemporary issues as climate change, renewable energy, pollution, and sustainability.
