Formerly: Newspaper and New Media Production
This course focuses on the application of media theory, journalism ethics, and production techniques to the school news organization and the expansion of the current news operation into new media formats. Students will produce written news articles for the Beacon. Students will learn about pitching stories, finding stories, news story construction, sourcing, selection and framing, interview techniques, news beats, and editing and publication processes.
