PSY 3450 - Biological Bases of Abnormal BehaviorCredits: 4 Examines the anatomical basis of several neurological disorders and diseases. Investigates the neuroanatomical mechanisms through which diseases and disorders are thought to occur, as well as the diagnostic criteria and current treatments for each. Some of these disorders discussed will include: Autism, Sleep disorders (Insomnia, Narcolepsy), Neurodegenerative diseases (Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, Ataxia, Multiple Sclerosis), and neuropsychiatric disorders (Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, OCD, ADHD, Schizophrenia, PTSD). Prerequisite(s): PSY 1000 ; BIO 1106 or PSY 3150 . Fulfills: SOSC requirement in LS Core.
