BIO 3012 - ImmunologyCredits: 4 An overview of the fundamental principles of immunology. These include a study of the cellular and genetic characteristics of the immune system; the structure, function, and physical properties of antigens, antibodies, and complement; the humoral and cell mediated immune responses; and the etiology, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of immunological diseases that impact individual and community health. Laboratory investigations supplement the lecture material and provide an introduction to current methods and techniques in clinical immunology. Prerequisite(s): BIO 1027 or BIO 1025 , BIO 1028 , BIO 2018 or consent of instructor. Corequisite(s): BIO1027L 3 hours lecture, 3 hours lab
