FAA 3360 - Principles of CompositionCredits: 4 A course designed to teach the student the basic techniques of writing music - including aspects of structure, instrumental usage, handling of different textures and compositional principles. Intensive creative work, often leading to readings of this music and a final work in performance will lead the student to both technical and musical self- expression. Prerequisite(s): FAA 2360 or permission of the instructor. Fulfills: Humanities distribution requirement. AL in LS Core.
