CSC 1610 - Problem Solving with JavaCredits: 4 Formerly: Problem Solving with C++ An introduction to computer science techniques with an emphasis on algorithms, test driven design, development and structured programming in the Java language. Topics include program development, modularity, variables and data types, I/O and file I/O, functions/methods, JavaDoc, conditionals, testing (JUnit), strings, arrays and vectors, loops, classes, objects and references, Java APIs, command-line arguments. Prerequisite: MTH 1000 or placing out of MTH 1000 on the math placement exam. Prerequisite(s): MTH 1000 or placing out of MTH 1000 on the math placement exam. Fulfills: STEM requirement in LS Core.
